Dr Sithi Sitharthan is a highly experienced General Surgeon who has had surgical training in India, United Kingdom and Australia. His specialty interests are in Advanced Laparoscopy, Endoscopic Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology. During higher surgical training in the UK, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 1992 and the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in 1999. His post fellowship advanced surgical training were at the Minimal Access Surgery Training Unit in Liverpool, England and at the Aberdeen University Hospital, Scotland. After 10 years in the UK, he immigrated to Australia in 2002 and also obtained the Australian Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2004.

Over the past 15 years, Sithi has enjoyed working as a Consultant Surgeon in the beautiful South Coast of NSW. He is passionate about the delivery of high quality surgical care in regional and peripheral areas. He has made several presentations of his work at international conferences over the years. Above all, he relishes the day-to-day interactions and connections with his patients and takes pride in the personalised care he offers to his patients. He and his family live in the South Coast. Sithi enjoys photography, and the beauty of Illawarra & Shoalhaven helps keep that passion alive. He has also taken up learning Cello and is thoroughly enjoying it.
