Dr Juliani Rianto is a senior Rehabilitation Consultant who has been working in private practice for the last 15 years at Shellharbour Private Hospital and other public and private hospitals in Sydney. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine at Sydney University and continued to extensively train in Rehabilitation Medicine and was accepted as a Fellow of Australian Rehabilitation Medicine. She also has a PhD in neuro-ophthalmology after 17 years of research experience at Sydney University on retina development and degeneration.

Dr Rianto has special interest in neurological rehabilitation e.g. stroke rehabilitation, parkinson’s disease, people with intellectual and physical disability, chronic pain management from musculoskeletal condition. She provides a holistic approach in patient management, encouraging patients to put confidence and trust with their therapist to get the most out of their rehabilitation.

Whilst working in Concord Hospital in Sydney, Dr Rianto spent 3 years in research for people with a disability which continues to be one of her areas of speciality. She is also an expert in the rehabilitation of post operative joint replacement procedures and aims to have patients mobilising and returning to their normal life in as short a time as possible.

Dr Rianto’s personal goal and satisfaction from her career as a rehabilitation specialist is to improve the care and quality of life of people with disability and their carers.
