Dr Sriram Thazhathaveetil is a locally trained Psychiatrist, who has completed his training through Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist fellowship program. During his training, he has worked across hospitals in Illawarra and Sydney region. He has a special interest in mental illness in the elderly and has completed an advanced certificate in Old Age Psychiatry.

He is affiliated to the University of Wollongong as a Clinical Lecturer and currently holds the position of Site Coordinator of Training for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) - Illawarra and Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). Additionally, he works at the Wollongong Hospital Older Persons Mental Health Unit as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
