COVID-19 Patient Update

During these unprecedented times, our main priority is the safety of our patients, staff and Doctors. Shellharbour Private Hospital has new information relating to new restrictions in place as per NSW Health advice.

Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and Shellharbour Private Hospital have always worked closely together, and at this time it is even more important. With the escalating COVID situation in the Illawarra, we are committed to doing everything we can to help. As a result of this commitment to assist where needed, we have decided to postpone non-urgent elective surgery at Shellharbour Private Hospital as of 1 September 2021. Many of our staff will be deployed to help within the public sector and this will decrease our ability to continue with our normal Theatre schedule.

If you are a patient who was coming into the hospital for a procedure, our Administrations Booking Team will be in contact with you, however, please don’t hesitate to contact your Doctor’s rooms to discuss your treatment or for more clarity.
