With our Direct Access Medical Admissions Program, patients are managed in a Private Hospital by a General Physician with a multi-disciplinary approach to their care.
Patients we commonly treat in our Medical Admissions Ward include:
- Wound management (IV antibiotics, dressings)
- UTI
- Ulcers & cellulitis
- Dehydration
- Gout
- Investigation of shortness of breath
- Pneumonia
- Anaemia-Investigation
- Difficult to control blood pressure or Diabetes
- Recurring falls
- Parkinsons
- MS
- Neuro-Mus Conditions
- Rehabilitation for decreased mobility
Patients who are not suitable for admission include those with chest pain, those suspected of a heart attack or other condition which require intensive workup.
